Gel Printers Summit 2025 supply lists
Rebecca Chapman supply list:
• Gel plate
• Acrylic paint (I use System 3 and Amsterdam mainly)
• Soft rollers / brayers
• Baren (optional)
• Acetate or stencil film for making your own stencils – you could also use a plastic document folder if it is transparent enough to see through
• Cutting mat
• Craft knife
• Rotary cutter (optional)
• Masking tape
• Photos printed onto ordinary copy paper – I use my own photos (organic shapes) I edit them into black and white then increase the contrast – we will use these as roll off sheets and then as collage papers – you could use magazine pages instead
• A sketchbook to cover (used or unused)
• Glue stick or matt medium
• Paint pens – I use Posca PC5m and PC17k
• Papers to print onto – I use wet strength tissue paper and ordinary copy paper but you could use any paper for this project

• Photos. Must be printed with a laser printer or copied on a toner based photocopy machine.
• Print on standard copy/printer paper.
• For best results, choose photos or images that are clear, high contrast, and preferably black and white.
• A soft rubber brayer.
• Acrylic paints. Any type or brand for making collage papers.
• Soft body acrylics for photo transfer. I recommend starting with "Amsterdam Standard Series".
• 8"x8" natural maple plywood panel.
• Other surfaces can also be used: canvas board, sturdy paper, watercolor or mixed media journal pages.
• Sketch paper and/or book pages for the collage.
• Tissue paper for text and photo transfers (my favorite is Lineco Acid-Free Tissue).
• Matte medium (or any acrylic glue or gel medium).
• Stencils, stamps, or other objects for mark-making and impressions in the paint (for example leaves, feathers, textured paper, bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard).
• Varnish: matte or satin (for sealing and protecting the finished artwork).
• Optional: baren, gesso, sheet of clear plexiglass (to place under your gel plate).
